Joanna is an accomplished international CIO with extensive experience across pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and IT. After starting her career in HR and Sales & Marketing, she transitioned to IT in the mid-80s, leading global programs and delivering IT services in Europe and Asia.

In healthcare, Joanna served as CIO at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, where she oversaw a major transformation, including IT infrastructure upgrades, digitizing patient records, and implementing new clinical applications. As an early advocate of cloud technologies, she continued her impact at Sidra, Qatar, restructuring their IT organization and upgrading their electronic patient record system.

Since returning to the UK, Joanna has provided consulting and advisory services to healthcare and life sciences organizations, including interim roles at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where she led the development of their Digital and Data strategies. Currently, she serves as interim CTIO at StepChange, the UK’s leading debt management charity.
